Sprout: Truly All-Natural Sustainable Skincare

Sprout Skincare is quite unique in the aspect that all of their products are made with five or less ingredients, and are kept to their whole, raw state as possible.. There are no fillers.  The company supports sustainable agriculture, so all their ingredients are either certified organic, Fair Trade, or sourced from small farms.  They are "made in small batches by real people in Brooklyn, New York".  I think it's cute that they state that, but when you think about it, it shows their dedication in making the products to the best of their stance.

I was sent complimentary samples to review of pretty much everything that they carry, except for the body scrub and non-vegan lip balms.  It's exciting because it's rare to be able to try a full spectrum of products at once.  I received full sizes of their make-up remover and vegan lip balm in three of their four flavors: Citrus, Cinnamon, and Cocoa.  I received samples sizes of their cream, toner, and exfoliant.

The lip balms are so rich and creamy.  The balms were grainy at first application, but the warmth from my lips and from being in my pocket took care of the graininess. The lip balms are very moisturizing.  I love the silkiness of the balms that I found myself rubbing my lips together often.  The balms need reapplication about every few hours.  That was about when my lips would feel slightly dry with or without lipstick on.  My favorite flavor is the Citrus because it reminds me of the Girl Scout's Lemonade cookies.  (Please click here for my review on other vegan lip balms.)

The cream is my favorite of all the products.  It's more like a balm than a cream.  This cream is made to be used on your face or body.  I used it as a face cream.  It's non-comedogenic, which means it doesn't clog pores.  At first application, my skin felt instantly quenched and felt very soft to the touch.  The cream also helped make a smooth canvas whenever I wore mineral foundation.  A little goes a long way, too.

I don't really wear make-up, and if I do it's light mineral foundation with mascara, a little blush, and lipstick/lip gloss.  Just with that, the make-up remover did its job.  The formula seems to be mainly olive oil, which is something I have used to remove make-up, so I wasn't too thrilled about the product.  The morning after I actually changed my mind.  I woke up with baby soft skin to the touch.  I am guessing it's the quality of the olive oil, as well as the combination Sprout formulated with Almond and Jojoba Oil.  It did a good job in moisturizing.

The cleanser, exfoliant, and toner worked well together in making my skin feel fresh and clean.  It felt like I had no impurities. The only thing that I would change are the containers for the cleanser and toner.  I would prefer not having to open the lid of the jars to get the product, but rather a twist/flick and pour kind of cap.  It was just a thought.

My skin needs a lot of rejuvenation for years of little attention, and in my opinion, it's showing with age.  Honestly knowing my skin, I have seen a change in my skin's texture over the past few years. With this being said, I am glad that I was able to try Sprout's products because it allowed me to truly try an all-natural alternative to what's out there in the market.  I like quick and simple, so I definitely need to think about my regimen and also research in what products I want to use overtime.  I would really like to see Sprout discover some exotic, potent ingredient that helps with aging skin.  Definitely something I would like to try.  Sprout Skincare has definitely helped me with realizing that a little does a lot. ♥

    1. Good idea regarding linking the lip balm review! Thanks!

As for the make-up remover, no, I don't think it would work too good with waterproof mascara.
